Although this is a BluRay player, I think mention of this player is warranted in this form. Kris just posted the review for Secrets and it ranks second to the Denon-5910CI for playing DVDs.

It costs about $700 now. Even if you never use the BlueRay, youve got a player that is superb on DVDs for much less than the $3800 for the Denon.

It also scored significantly better than the $1500 Denon DVD-3910. It uses the Reon HQV and has HDMI v. 1.3.

It scored exactly the same as the Oppo 971, too. :) Other uni players can play audio also, but for $700 it's currently not a bad deal for a great BD and DVD player. If they ever get any real content on BD (and HD-DVD) I'd probably get the Sammy even though I'd still feel weird buying a Samsung product. :)
