View Full Version : anyone tried texting someone from the 360 to a cell phone epicbloodline 05-09-07, 08:03 PM ? suhailtheboss 05-09-07, 08:32 PM i dont think its possible unless someone has windows messenger on their cell phone bigjohn955 05-09-07, 08:52 PM my cell phone has mobile IM... it can run AIM, MSN, and Yahoo Messenger... I tink thats how they expect you to use it on a phone.... through msn messenger, not a regular text message. Breedbeyond 05-09-07, 09:29 PM You can do it just fine, for my phone you have to add a new friend with the phone # and at the end @tmobile.net rocko1290 05-10-07, 12:54 AM I didnt know Xbox 360 can run AIM, MSN, and Yahoo Messenger..... bigjohn955 05-10-07, 01:09 AM read it again, I didn't say 360 could do AIM, MSN, and Yahoo messenger. I said my cell phone could. The spring update allows you to use MSN messenger inside xbox live, as long as the e-mail address you use for xbox live and MSN messenger are the same. as for how a cell phone works with xbox 360... I don't know how except for logging onto MSN messenger ON MY PHONE, and messaging someone who is using MSN messenger through xbox live. I don't think xBox live accounts can send and receive regular text messages. ArchieGates 05-10-07, 02:07 AM You can set up a mobile phone contact through Windows Live Messenger and send text messages through it. So perhaps you can send a message from you 360 to this Live Messenger contact and it will send a text message to their phone. Then again, you could always just pick up your phone and send the message that way... |
