i dont think its possible unless someone has windows messenger on their cell phone

my cell phone has mobile IM... it can run AIM, MSN, and Yahoo Messenger... I tink thats how they expect you to use it on a phone.... through msn messenger, not a regular text message.

You can do it just fine, for my phone you have to add a new friend with the phone # and at the end @tmobile.net

read it again, I didn't say 360 could do AIM, MSN, and Yahoo messenger. I said my cell phone could. The spring update allows you to use MSN messenger inside xbox live, as long as the e-mail address you use for xbox live and MSN messenger are the same.

as for how a cell phone works with xbox 360... I don't know how except for logging onto MSN messenger ON MY PHONE, and messaging someone who is using MSN messenger through xbox live. I don't think xBox live accounts can send and receive regular text messages.

You can set up a mobile phone contact through Windows Live Messenger and send text messages through it. So perhaps you can send a message from you 360 to this Live Messenger contact and it will send a text message to their phone.

Then again, you could always just pick up your phone and send the message that way...
