I think everyone should read this even though it has been posted on here before ..but it will sum up any problems or limitations any of the digital jukeboxes including the new m4100sh and m5100sh have....

Yeah this was the one that we were talking about a few months ago. Basically it's supposed to be a fair bit better than the 4100/5100 (think it was called 5010 then). Main thing I remember is that it could do H264 with no probs (apparently the 5100 has probs with some files esp on higher res) and it had jpg handling built into the hardware so pictures are a lot faster. That and the CPU is a fair bit faster (latest Sigma which nothing uses yet). This was the one that a lot of people were holding out for instead of the M5100 (or whatever it was called at the time). At the time (end of last year?) it was suggested the M5500 would come out summer 2007, but with the lateish release of the 4100 and 5100, I seriously doubt it.

Although I thought it was the M5500, not the M550? Then again the 5100 changed it's number on release if I remember rightly (was 5010 I think).

Cheers

hmmm, still I bet those are awhile off, also the 8622/23 does have jpg accel over the 20/21, divco needs to fix the photo code in the 4100, maybe they are not even utilizing the hardware jpg handling yet

also if you already have the 4000/5000 i'd wait, but the 4100 is cool enough to buy now , plus there is alot to do with the firmware, so it'll be fun

Why should we read something by someone who doesn't even own the unit? Just go to the main thread where people who actually own the unit will tell you what it plays and what it doesn't:

All of the FUD you've been posting is growing tiresome.
