Still in the market for a good option to switch between the VGA input of my PC and my Xbox 360 with a single Viewsonic P225f monitor. Since I can achieve the highest possible resolution on my Viewsonic, I run my Xbox 360 at 1920x1440 (I believe).

Can anyone recommend a VERY good switch box that will allow me to switch between the two with almost ZERO drop in resolution? Obviously the high resolution of the Xbox 360 is what I want to maintain. Right now I just switch cables manually, but there HAS to be a better way to achieve the same quality... am I correct?

I really don't want to waste money on some cheap box that can't handle the max resolution beautifully, I want a good quality product that doesn't necessarily cost hundreds of dollars.. ;)

Plug your 360 into input 2.

^^^ That won't do. You'll experience something called ghosting because of the high resolution split...go with this:

Assuming you have a DVI port on your monitor and use your vga port for your pc. This will work.

Nope... as mentioned above, just one VGA port. The monitor is about four years old now, prior to the days with multiple inputs.

Neoya (http://www.x2vga.com/) makes a good product. I have a first generation switch from them. Using it still today.

I used a cheap as can be VGA switcher that I got off newegg and it worked perfectly. There was no loss in video quality by either the 360 or PC. It worked great.

The switcher itself was a royal blue with a gray button on top. Hope that helps.

I have not tried any with audio switching capabilities though. That would be nice.
