Actually, most of the members here with 20k+$ systems are scattered through the link I posted :)

They use somewhat different user names on audiogon.

Of particular note is Doctor RX (the obgyn doctor around these parts), Murat, and Mike Lavigne...

Interesting because I was born and raised in Toronto and am a product of the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine. Now however I am a native Californian and proud of it since 1978

Here is a look at my system

Look Q, i told you to not post those after shots of my theatre.

On another note though, i do want to say how thrilled the wife and i are with the job you did.

I know you are all green. Not because you are envious, because after viewing my overhead projector home theater for a while, everything looks green.

this is my 'other' system. not quite as intimate. at least there is more than one chair.

i wonder how much it will cost to upgrade from Valhalla to Odin?

Holy smokes, that system of cables almost looks as "bad" as the cable network coming out of the pipe organ I used to play frequently!

I saw the "business end" of that system in this fantastic online gallery.

Thnx guys, those are some kick S systems. Most of the system look like showroom systems though. I just wonder how often one gets to enjoy listening to them other than an ocassional song or a movie. If i had that kind of money and that kind of system, i probably would never leave my dedicated HT room.
OK back to work (and reality) i go now.

Mine is in my office so I listen 8 hours a day - usually more - like now for example. :)

I think most people don't post their systems because of the harsh treatment some have recieved. I remember way back when OneOB posted some pictures, he was treated to the most disrespectful comments about some wire holders (I don't remember what they are called) and instead of commenting on how nicely his system was setup, the detractors meant to tear it down. Why expose yourself to such unfounded and uncalled for critiques?

Thats when the moderators, who undoubtedly are busy with their own lives, "should" come in and police those trolls out.

I remember it all too well.

It was my "right of passage" to becoming an AVS member.

On a brighter note however it was all of those jabs at me that I got everyone together at my house for a Saturday afternoon of listening. Out of that was formed the Bay Area Audio Society. Most of those detractors and naysayers have become some of my best friends. Heck the most vocal was Morbius and Michael Grant who had only negative comments about my "cable elevators" (what you called wire holders). We recently had a farewell party for Michael Grant at my house. Another naysayer was Dizzman who not only became a BAAS member but I subsequently had the pleasure of delivering his beautiful twins. So I guesss that every cloud has its silver lining

As it's so eloquently put, all across the internet.... "F the haters!". :D

Dizzman

to be precise, we outwardly giggled at his cable elevators. It was the white wall theatre that we made fun of.

:D

And as the good Doc points out, there is a certain amount of giving and getting here. Becaise while some of us may still chuckle at how much he has spent on cables and what not, the end result is a sonic clarity that cannot be argued with.

If you had said otherwise I might have to repossess those gorgeous twins
