Hi just got a RS-1 with 10 hours on it. I have looked through the forum with no luck. Can anyone advise on access to service mode so I can clear the previous set up ?

I don't recommend using the factory rest in the service menu. I am not sure anyone has confirmed whether it only resets user settings, or other things too.

There isn't much to be concerned about. The pixel adjust is obvious and all of the picture modes are resettable if you follow the options in the menu to defaults (this includes cinema, dynamic etc., and user 1/2/3).

The factory reset is harmless and seems to put all settings back to original except for lamp hours. If you change the three presets, i.e. temp low, medium and high be sure to jot them down first.

Opps I forgot that part :), sorry.

On the remote hit Up, Down, Right, Left then Enter. Really fast and the user menu has to be cleared first or it won't take.
