View Full Version : Frys Plano Texas has 40 year old Virgin!!
tuna_fishe 05-13-07, 08:14 PM Anyways yesterday i went to Frys in Plano Texas 75. They had about 15 copies of The 40 year old Virgin on the self. I picked one up, and walked to the cash registrator.. It would not ring up.. I was like how come? They said the machine would not let them sell it until the 22nd. I tried to talk them into just ringing it up manually for 21.99 + tax but they would not do it.. Anyways just wanted to let everybody know that it is out there at frys and maybe you will find someone stupid enough to ring it up for you.
DigitalfreakNYC 05-13-07, 08:23 PM what were the extras?
I placed my order with Amazon sometime back but forgot about it...didn't realize we were that close to the 22nd already and I'll have one more great flick added to the collection in mere days now. The SD of 40 yr old lookd GREAT, near ref IMO (even more impressive for 1:85), the HD-DVD should look beautiful! =)
GizmoDVD 05-13-07, 08:32 PM Was there mention of a free movie ticket to 'Knocked Up'? The new DVD has it...wonder if the HD version has it.
tuna_fishe 05-13-07, 08:55 PM Sorry I didn't look at the extras. But the cover is pretty cool though.. It has a card board cover with the normal pastic cover inside of it.. The cover actually looked like the Double your pleasure edition on amazon.
When you open it his shirt comes off and shows his hairy chest. I was so happy when I had it in my hands.. Was really depressed when they took it away from me though
Virginus Interruptus....BUMMER!
GizmoDVD 05-13-07, 09:21 PM Sweet, this is the first HD DVD title to come with a slipcover then. Blu-Ray has had 3 of them.
azmodien 05-13-07, 10:02 PM I thought the SD version looked a little edgy in places. I hope the HD transfer is good.

I was talking to a few employees there and they say that stuff happens all the time, but that the register generally catches it. Doesn't it piss you off that they have that huge HDTV right as you walk in the door and all it ever plays is Happy Feet, and off a PS3 at that? Then, of course, right next to it is that "Blu-Ray vs HD DVD" handmade sign(it's horrible) right above the Blu-Ray section but, magically, the HD DVD section has moved, what, 4 rows back to the end of "Comedy"? I remember when they had them both right up front and that crappy sign was relevant, now it's just embarassing.
DigitalfreakNYC 05-14-07, 05:08 PM extras? extras? anyone?
delrmx01 05-14-07, 05:20 PM Yeah, they did the same thing to me with Feast... they had about 15+ copies and picked one up and same thing ... DENIED !! Bastards ..what a tease.
I think it's safe to say Fry's probably has a lot of 40 year old virgins in it. :)
