I just bought a new Sony Trinitron 27". It had a loud high pitch noise from the tube, so I to it to a repair shop that was certified by Sony. They put some glue around the back of the tube which helped the high pitch noise alot. I am curiouse though, if they wanted to, could they take out the Trinitron tube and put a lesser quality tube in there? Like it they wanted to sell the Trintron tube on the black market or something? Is this likely or just in my head?
