I just got a Panasonic dmr-ez27, and as this is my first recorder, I'd like some advice on the best connection for highest quality
TV: new Samsung t5054 (50" plasma, 720p)
STB: Time Warner Motorola non-DVR HD (don't know the model #)
Here are my choices as I see it:
1) run the S-video from the STB to the Panny, HDMI out to the TV
2) run the co-ax out from the STB into the Panny, HDMI out to the TV
3) "Split" the coax from the wall & run 1 lead to the STB and the other to the
Panny DVR. Then I could watch 1 channel and record another, right?
Would this be a "better" picture than #1?. And could I forego the Motorola STB
and use the Panny as the STB? I seem to be reading that there is a question as
to weather the Panny will directly output a 720p HD signal to the TV.
Hope someone on this forum can help. My main issue is best PQ.
