Hey All,

I have the urc-9910 and it has the following feature: UPGRADEABLE Technology via ONE FOR ALL Customer Service.

How does this work?
I assume I have to call them and then I put my remote next to the phone and then it "hears" beeps and is upgraded. Or does it require me to connect the remote directly phone.

If it is putting the remote next to the phone so it can hear beaps, can I download some sound file and play it back on my computer? If this is the case does anybody know where I would get these sound files.

I hate talking to customer service over the phone.

Thanks,

SU

You can ask the customer service at One for All to send you sound file via email, or you can go to the JP1 site (http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/index.php) to learn how to download and/or create your own upgrade files and convert them to .wav files to play on your computer to upgrade your remote.

I had a Kameleon One For All remote and all I had to do was talk to customer service. I put the remote next to the phone and it learned the code from the signal. The customer service rep then told me what the device code was for the new device.
