Anyone know if the Tivo Series 3 will output PCM Audio over the Optical Digital Audio Out?

I bought a new soundcard for SPDIF input capabilities, so I could hook up my Sling, DVR, and Wii into the PC all at the same time. But it only decodes PCM sound and the Verizon box doesn't support it according to Verizon support, sadly...Apparently PCM and L-PCM are not the same thing.

Anyone know if the Tivo has this option?

I would imagine even if it does, it would have CGMS copy protection on the spdif output, and thus not usable in a PC.

Hmm, that answers another question. I guess you can't copy Tivo stuff using Component out or a TV tuner, huh?

Analog recording should work fine (S-Video out, analog audio out). Might be analog macrovision on S-Video port, I don't know if that would affect a capture card/whatever
