Does anyone know if the upcoming French HD-DVD release of L'Armée des ombres will include English subs? I haven't been able to find much information regarding this release.

With the Criterion SD-DVD coming out tomorrow, I figured I'd ask about the HD version before I picked it up.

According to spec list in HD DVD Format Blog there are no English subs but there are a bunch of others:

I just added this to my Amazon France order since it seems to have Finnish subs and seems like a very interesting movie based on IMDB comments. :) Surprisingly IMDB shows a Finnish poster for this movie as thumbnail.

Don't know if that will have different subs from the French release.

Since they are both Studio Canal and the French release includes German subs, it's most likely the same disc with German cover papers.

"L'armee des ombres" is a true classic of french movie culture. Definitely one I will bring back from my next european trip.

The French release will be the same in Germany.
On the same date RAN is also due to release, however, also w/o English subs.

If you want to know more about those two discs, see www.area-hd.de (with English specs, so you dont have to quote French sites :) )
