Don't get too excited yet... it is another lackluster DigitalAudioVideo review. Expect more detailed reviews to make their way to this HDDb.net page soon.

nothing to special other than what he said was "Amazing". I would have guessed the same. Warner would not mess something so big up!

Are you sure the reviewer even liked the PQ and AQ??? :D ;)

Amazing. I knew it would be, and I was not disappointed. Even the first film, which is slightly dated- is absolutely unbelievable. This is certain to be a reference disk not only because it looks so great, but because its a good movie that people will want to see. Those two don't often go hand in hand in the high def world. The image is always rock solid, with a bit of post-processing applied, but still retaining the natural look of film. Colors are incredible, and I have never seen such detailed blacks. Every aspect of every frame is unbelievably perfect.

If the video delivers, the audio knocks it out of the park. The discs are presented with Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround, and its an experience. The scene that stood out for me was the chase scene in Matrix Reloaded. Bass is incredible, and the surrounds are so amazing that you feel directly in the middle of the action. In every other scene, dialogue is crisp and clear. The music sounds great. Bravo.

I think he's spot on with his assessment of the trilogy, which is why I will wait for the first film to be available separately.

I think lots are in agreement number 3 sucks, but for me, and Im sure a lot of others that find the 3rd less than great, ownership plays a part. Kind of like, you know, I have the complete set in hd...

I got my copies of this box-set yesterday and am happy to report it is a substantial improvement over the DVD versions of this film in terms of both PQ and AQ. However I did notice a fair amount of noise in the bright scenes. It reminded me of "The Usual Suspects" on Blu-ray in this regard. All in all solid Tier 1 titles IMO.

nothing to special other than what he said was "Amazing". I would have guessed the same....which is why there's a hell of a good chance he doesn't even have the set and is pulling the "review" out of his ass. Come on -- anyone here could've not only written the same thing but faked it better just by reading the back of the box.

As long as there are no freezing or audio sync problems, I'm happy.

I received my box set yesterday and have watched the first Film. It looks and sounds great and Warner didn't screw the pooch on this one. I haven't looked at the other two discs as of yet...with all of the bonus features, I probably won't have a review up until Friday at the earliest!

Dave,

Is matrix a new reference? Or it just looks great?
