I've lost the video signal twice in 2 months but power cycling the cable box fixed it. deathindustrial 05-15-07, 04:26 PM Oppo970 into Sanyo PLV-Z5, short cable run and no audio over HDMI. Not exactly a tough case which is no doubt why it works. =) That said, the amount of time it takes the PLV-Z5 to figure out that it is receiving an HDMI signal (or that it has lost it) sucks. It's freaking 2007 - this stuff should be near instant! Cheers daivd_t_36582 05-15-07, 06:01 PM Mine works fine! Cheap RCA DVD player to Zenith 50" plasma TV. TV detected it when hooked up and turned on, and never skipped a beat. Ulysses1 05-20-07, 12:20 PM Scientific Atlantic 8300HD cable box connected with about 6 feet of HDMI to a Yamaha RXV2700. Then 50 feet of HDMI from the Yamaha to a Panasonic TH 50PX600U. Everything works great. No speckles, no signal problems. William L Carman 05-20-07, 03:33 PM I have the Monoprice 5x1 HDMI switch and am using it successfully with three sources: a Marantz 9500 universal player, a Toshiba HD-XA-2 HD DVD player, and a Scientific Atlanta 8300 HD set-top box. My display(s) are a Panasonic 900 front projector, and a Westinghouse 27" LCD tv. I can switch between sources while watching with no problem. However....I did have a problem losing the HDMI "hand shake" when I was using this switcher with my original HD DVD player, the Toshiba HD A-1. Apparently the newer XA-2 player made all the difference! vancouver 05-20-07, 07:05 PM Xbox Elite PS3 A1 Cable Box (all with blue jeans .5 Meter HDMI)---> DVDO HDMI Switcher--->Fujitsu 50" All is working fine not a single issue. At present I am only using HDMI for video. Hope all stays ok when I get a new SSP and use HDMI for video and audio. Jotsy 05-20-07, 08:57 PM PS3 straight into a Sony 46" XBR2 LCD. SA 8300HD and PS3 into my Denon 4306 via HDMI XBOX 360 into my Denon 4306 via the XBOX component cable DENON out to my Pioneer 940HD via HDMI. No issues. Splotto True Fan 05-21-07, 10:24 AM SA 8300HD and Denon DVD-3910 both send signals through HDMI to Denon AVR-4306. And then it goes through HDMI to Pioneer 4340HD plasma (1080i) - no issues. Schadenfreude 05-21-07, 05:13 PM Hope all stays ok when I get a new SSP and use HDMI for video and audio.
