I have the MX-3000 and love it to death. A friend of mine is considering the Harmony 1000. Is the Harmony 1000 completely customizable like the MX-3000? Does it have the software limitations similar to all the other Harmony remotes?
I also have the Harmony 720 and said friend has the Harmony 880. I know the stupid Harmony software limits certain aspects of the remotes and just wanted to know if the Harmony 1000 suffers from the same issues.

No.

Yes. It's basically a touchscreen version of the 890.
about 2 weeks ago I purchased a Harmoy 1000 to replace my URC 850. I had it three days and went and bought an MX-3000. LOVE the MX-3000. The Harmony is going back tomorrow.
The Harmony is basically just a tablet edition of the 890. It was way to limited. No real customization, etc...
The MX-3000 is EXACTLY what I was looking for.

ok, my friend has decided against the Harmony. Which basically leaves the MX-3000.
New question....
Has anyone seen or used the Phillips Pronto TSU9600??? I haven't seen it cheaper than the MX-3000, but the retail price is around $1000 just like the MX-3000.
