blainehamilton 05-16-07, 12:15 AM Planet Earth on HD DVD is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find here in Edmonton north of the border.
Best Buy, Future Shop, HMV, A&B Sound, all are sold out completely. Even Amazon.com and Amazon.ca.
I wanted to get this as a birthday gift for my wife, but it's getting pretty frustrating tracking down a copy.
On a side note, I could have purchased 20 to 30 copies on Blu Ray already. Almost every store still has it on that format, just isn't selling according to store staff...

Mountains is a nice demo disc from the very first scenes.
I've seen it for sale in Wal-mart in Alberta.

Not that enough people haven't said it already, but the DVD/HD DVD/Blu-Ray versions of PE for sale in the US are absolutely 110% David Attenborough. Sigourney Weaver only narrates the Discovery/Discovery HD Theater versions on TV. The Discovery/Weaver version is not available on disc at the moment, anywhere in the world.

I also sent an email to Amazon Service to correct the error.

Same with Future Shop, Best Buy, London Drugs, A&B Sound, HMV and Music World.
I could have ordered from BBC Canada for $113. A bit of a shaft considering the $67 US price and $1.10 exchange rate...

Yes, the HD-DVD version is not narrated by Sigourney.
And, some Canadian Walmarts still have it in stock in Calgary... I have seen it @ the one nearby a couple of days ago. I got mine from Futureshop.

You can reserve a copy @ FS and BB websites for store pick-up. Checking the BB and FS websites right now and almost all BB and FS locations in Edmonton have it in stock except FS Edmonton West and FS North locations.
