This is my thaught aswell, I am pure HD-DVD all the way but just thinking of high bitrate AVC with that max bitrate with a 24/48 PCM track on a full BD-50 dedicated to the movie with no special features just makes me REALLY want it lol.

Plus I'm a huge fan of ILM, so that fends me, personally I really respect and like what Disney does on BD, I really think they are the only company that does BD right...

But besides all that, awsome to see these films with perfect review scores, which I actually excted, they are just such GOOD movies with awsome PQ that they will be hard to ignore, and hopefully will sell the format the same way it did with DVD.

I went dual format. HD with hi-fidelity audio is good no matter how you get it. But AWE is poised to be the biggest blockbuster ever.

If Disney runs a BD promo before the film... Things might get a little more interesting.

From early reviews it sounds like both releases are equally amazing,of course leave it to beatboy to give the edge to POTC in his "unbiased reviews". :)

Really? Loved the first one, hated the second one and have no desire to see the third one.

I read that too in his Pirates review. Both Pirates movies look like their
excellent but there was no need to mention The Matrix in his review.


But I guess he is entitled to his opinion. :rolleyes:

I'm glad to hear that it's been done right. So often with SDDVD it wasn't even when potential was there. I'll be at a professional convention for a week so I won't get to see it at release with you guys. :( Enjoy !! :)

Being a dual format owner may not eliminate bias. We all have preferences, but I'm sure we all would like to see an unbiased review based on merit not association.

i wish i could buy just the first one, without the other two. i would also agree with POTC. first one was excellent, the second one sucked.
