Anybody know anything about the Infinity Prelude MTS sub? I think they were sold around the year 2000. I think the system had them sold in pairs.

Its a 12" 800w sub with the RABOS system. Very good subs in their day. If you
are buying used and they are cheap, good way to go. If they are not, there are
better subs available today.

I have the Prelude MTS Subs and matching towers. I would advice against anyone buying the subs. Here is why. I needed a woofer replaced (still under warranty) on one. I waited over 5 months because Infinity didn't have any. The people repairing it (Brandywine) were wonderful. Infinity though could care less that they made me wait that long. I had many e-mail arguments with them.......

When funds become available I am going to sell the subs and replace them with 2 JL Audio f112's....

Same with my Intermezzo subs in my 4.1t. If there is a problem with anything infinity it will take a lifetime for a repair because they just don't care. I still have my Intermezzo setup and it does sound very good but I will never buy Infinity again, and hopefully they see this.

Refurbished pairs of these are routinely offered from Infinity direct on ebay...usually under $1200 per pair.
