Quick question i was thinking of going with the a-20 instead of the xa2 primarily due to price and read somewhere that since the a20 is hdmi 1.2 and the receivor is 1.3 that there would be some processing issues with next gen audio i.e. tru hd. Does this make sense, am i going to be fine with the a20 or should i wait and get the xa2.

Yes, you'll be fine. (Only limitation is you won't be able to bitstream the advanced audio tracks, which would only matter if the 1.3 receiver has decoders for them. The player LPCM output works fine and includes all interactive audio features -- bitstream output doesn't.)
