Please give me suggestions on whether to go with a flat or a curved CRT monitor (Wells Gardner D9400) for my MAME cabinet. Reasons why?
Thanks

I use a betson imperial multisync monitor.. it is a 27" CRT and is curved... I think most of the authentic monitors are curved.. so that is probably what I would go with.

Guess it depends on your cabinet. If you have an old school type of cabinet, a rounded tube would be your best bet, with flat plexi over it for a more authentic feel. If you have a custom, more modern cabinet, I think a flat screen would be fine.

Personally, I have the WG 27" in my cabinet and love it.

There are a couple of comparisons on this page between an arcade monitor and pc monitor.. that may help.

Also at that site are several arcade hardware related reviews.
