I have done some painting, finished installing speakers and equipment and have been enjoying my new Home Theater. So I figured I would put up some pictures to see what people thought.

Looks great - I like the valance/shelf you built over the top of the screen - my wife wants one of those too. lmao at the dual subs/plant stands. Bet it sounds great.

Thanks, I built the shelf to hide the screen case. It turned out well. I was going to paint the shelf a different color, but I decided to paint it the same, beacuse the other 3 walls in the room are a different color than the main wall.

Is your theater finished? I saw your gear, you have some nice stuff.

We move in the second week of June. THanks for the shelf idea, my wife likes it - now I have to build one too. Nice job!

For this shelf I just used a piece of pine, cost me about $5. I wanted to make sure I would like how it turned out. I didnt want to put 40-50 in to it and not like it. Next time I am going to design a better looking shelf with some accents to it.

When do you think all your stuff will be complete?

I would say by the end of June - it's a top priority and I have everything I need.

Thanks, it has definitely evolved a lot. I dont think I will be making anymore changes to equipment though. I am very happy with the speakers and reciever, and the subs work good too. Although I would still like to add a PS3. I might look into some accoustic paneling later on.

I'm not married but I think you did a great job of doing a wife friendly setup. I mean that as a compliment. Everything looks clean, neat and not overtly MANS' HOME THEATER!!! You integrated everything in nicely with your place. Can we get a few screen shots?
