Before I call technical support, I thought I would post a question... (did not find any answers via search).

I have a Panasonic 50" hooked up with a cable STB and an OTA antenna (DB4). Everything has worked fine until today...

I flipped over to the ATSC tuner and can no longer tune in any digital stations, it just says "channel not found". Nothing has changed with my antenna or setup, and it was working the previous day. I could always receive all locals in HD.

I tried to do an auto re-programming of the channels, which resulted in only finding 2 analog channels, no digital. I checked all the connections, etc... everything seems intact.

Did the ATSC tuner died? Anyone have any solutions / test to try?

I am planning on calling Panasonic, but was hoping for a quick fix.

Thanks,

Scott

I see you did a re-program, but did you try clearing all first? Not sure if you can with that Panny, but I've heard of others doing a clear all, then run a search and it fixed it.

No luck with that... thanks for the suggestion.

Isn't there a firmware update to correct tuner problems in this model? If so, have you done that yet?

There is a firmware update, but very few have had any success. I personally had a problem with my tuner. The tuner is just very weak. You will find in most cases it is not purely the TV's fault. The tuner is weak to start off with, but I am sure it has something to do with the local stations as well.

Yeah, I did the firmware update with the same results. I called Panasonic and they seem to think its my antenna, which it could be.

Now I have to go through the process of getting it off my wall, getting another antenna to test... or I guess I could just use my cable TV line to test. I'm just complaining... :p
