OK I bought one of these. HL-T4675S. NICE. Here's my problem.
Sometimes when I turn the TV on , I get nothing but black on ALL QAM channels. Sometimes I get all the digital channels like I should. If I get nothing, a quick shutdown, wait a couple of minutes, and restart fixes it. Is this normal, or anyone else getting this kinda behavior? Should I return it for another?

Anyone have this kind of issue with their QAM tuner?

Anyone else have this QAM problem? I exchanged my TV, and the new one is the SAME! Sometimes works, sometimes not. If it doenst you have to reboot the TV then it will..
Sounds like a bad design in there.

May be an issue with your cable provider. I get black channels as well and I am running it through a dvr. Some channels have always displayed as totally black and others are intermittent. I have had issues with the quality of my cable since I moved into my current neighborhood. That's why I have Verizon FiOS TV (already have the internet ..which has been a big improvement over the reliability of that connection) scheduled for install today.

OTA is always fine. QAM is all or nothing. If, when I turn it on they dont work, then they will NEVER work until I "reboot" the TV, then they all work.
To clarify, either they ALL WORK PERFECT, or none work until a reboot.
Sounds like a QAM problem to me. Anyone else?
I exchanged for a new one, and it does the same thing though.. Maybe a problem with that model / software. Now, my new TV has a white-ish round spot on the screen when the screen is all black.. :( May have to exchange again! If its not perfect, then I dont want it!

I would imagine it's something to do with the cable provider. I'd see if others are experiencing the same issue before judgment.

1) If you havent already make sure Samsung is aware of your situation
2) Make sure your cable company is aware of your situation
3) Make sure the dealer you purchased the TV from is aware...
4) ...thats all you can really do (short of returning for another manufacturer)
Really, its most likely a combination of Samsungs software and your cable companies PSIP data. They are probably flagging channels in a certain manner that Samsung wasnt expecting.
