Hi

I have a 9501LC, I noticed last night on a satellite menu that the image was moving in and out at the sides not past the edge of the screen and not consistant either just now and then.
Tonight I re-seated both the vertically mounted cards in the chassis and turned on the projector only to get the same problem.
Can anyone suggest a cause.

Unstable sides indicates either something in the HDM is beginning to fail, or a scan yoke may have issues, more likely the Horizontal Deflection board.

Many thanks for the reply, if it is a yoke going would it just be one colour as the varying size image is all colours ie the whole picture.

It is 98% likely to be the HDM, I mention yokes as a distant possibility along with the VIM, DPB or Control Board. Clean your yoke couplers with solvent, always a good idea.
