You have to also get a set of mounting plates for the LC chambers. They are different.
Bob,
If you want to remain an 8" then you also need 8" LC housings, those of a 9" LC are different. They have many pieces in common but the backplate/housing has a 9" diagonal.
Many people are under the misconception that only the tubes are different in a 8500LC & 9500LC.

Mark... are you sure? Time and again it's been said that to take for example an 8500LC to a 9500 you just need the tubes.
I am so sure that I posted a picture of that very thing at Curts site years ago. My pic has a Marquee 8"LC & 9"LC housing side by side.
You can buy the part (X3!) to make the change, it is available from VDC, and it is not cheap.

Hello
You would need to acquire the 8" LC tube assemblies, covers, lower and upper plates to hold them, and HD10x lenses. Yokes and neckboards are transferrable.

I have just completed a conversion of my Marquee 8500AC to 8500LC.
You will need new lenses (HD10x), 8" marquee LC tube housings and covers, and the upper and lower mounting plates.
The upper and lower mounting plates from your 8500AC can be converted for us in the 8500LC, I did and they work fine.
If you have good tubes in your 8500AC they can be used in the LC housings. It was a lot of work to remove the good tubes from the AC housings and the old tubes from the LC housings I purchased.
I know someone with a 3 complete sets of 8500LC tube housings with burnt tubes. PM me and I will send you his contact info.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Chris.

Hi Chriss
I though that I have to change the crt tubes also.
So it is only the lenses and other things.
You can send me the contact of the other person.
Thanks for the time .
Bob
