Hi, total noob to home theater. I am not sure, but I looked at the manual of my subwoofer (I purchased the Polk RM6750 speaker & sub package), and it looks like there are two (L & R) RCA inputs in the diagram. I am not sure if I need a left and right RCA connection? I want to have everything set up when I finally get my receiver (Onkyo 605)
I just purchased this RCA sub cable thinking that I only needed only one input and output.

Do subs have any advantage of having a left and right connection? The Polk manual says there is a "Y-splitter" option.
Will the cable I have do the trick, or should I look into this y splitter option?
Here's a link to my receiver if it helps:

Thank for your help in advance
