Hi, total noob to home theater. I am not sure, but I looked at the manual of my subwoofer (I purchased the Polk RM6750 speaker & sub package), and it looks like there are two (L & R) RCA inputs in the diagram. I am not sure if I need a left and right RCA connection? I want to have everything set up when I finally get my receiver (Onkyo 605)

I just purchased this RCA sub cable thinking that I only needed only one input and output.

http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10236&cs_id=1023602&p_id=2683&seq=1&format=2&style=

Do subs have any advantage of having a left and right connection? The Polk manual says there is a "Y-splitter" option.

Will the cable I have do the trick, or should I look into this y splitter option?

Here's a link to my receiver if it helps:

Thank for your help in advance

Your cable is fine. Plug it into either one of the left or right inputs on the sub, and don't forget to turn the crossover dial all the way (to bypass that filter).

Thanks PSGCDN, I don't know what I woudl have done without help from AVS. Probably bought some overpriced lesser Bose system.
