Are the days of 34-inch direct-view CRT over?
Have we now entered the twilight years of 30-inch direct-view CRT?

The 970 is slowly being discontinued, and the 960 is damn near impossible to find now-a-days. Voyeur 05-19-07, 09:48 PM I just bought the 970 and am glad I did...so far. Samsung is certainly doing their part to keep direct-view alive. They're introducing new Slimfits this year. And supposedly correcting their geometrical distortion issues. Firstknight_sf 05-21-07, 06:25 AM Samsungs are releasing new slimfit CRTS???? Hopefully they'll fix all there problems and improve on the PQ. Damn I wish I can talk to those samsung boys and tell them to release atleast a 37 inch true 720p slimfit crt with impressive PQ. Voyeur 05-21-07, 09:53 AM Samsungs are releasing new slimfit CRTS???? I actually liked the PQ on the Samsung I saw at the Sears and that's one the older ones. I even read somewhere that the newer models will have a feature that sounded an awful lot like their own version of super fine pitch. 87david 05-21-07, 09:02 PM I have one of the new Samsungs. It has an excellent picture, better than most LCDs that I seen. Yes, it's a little on the small size, but perfect for a smaller type room. |
