Please help me choose... I have a Lexicon DC-1 and ATI 1505 (150wattsx5). Sub is a sunfire Mk II. Had a set of Boston VR-40s and a big Boston center that were stolen during a remodel of my house. Its been 5 years since I have bought home theater gear so I'm a bit out of the loop. I think I can get a good deal on some B&W 604s since they are discontinued but looking for other options. These will be for music (jazz, blues, rock) and movies. I have no biases except that I want floorstanding speakers. Any thoughts, comments or suggestons welcome - so please chime in: what should I buy?

Buy enough gas to get you from store to store to demo as much as you can.
Otherwise wait for an onslaught of recommendations, that will do you nothing more than give you a list of speaker brands, or a speaker that someone personally owns, and thinks everyone should have too.
Sorry if that seems a bit harsh, but the truth is, no-one is capable of knowing what sound you like, what is available in your area, and how it will interact with your room, and the gear you intend to push them with.

Thanks, and I understand your feedback. I'm hoping to narrow the field a bit... I have a 2.5 year old and 4 month old (both girls) and dont have much time. My wife is understanding but the discussion about taking a several hours on Saturday to go and listen to speakers is kind of hard to have at this time in our life. Anyway, if you guys can help narrow the list I would appreciate it. I live in Austin, TX. Thanks!

grab a phone book maybe and check out whats in your area as far as dealers. Then check out their websites to see what brands they offer. Then check out reviews and ask questions on forums. Then go listen. Then buy.... sorry got carried away there!!
good luck :)
