This is my first time using the Steren 200-081 mini coax RCA compression fittings. I have the compression tool made for them.

I wasted 8 of them trying to get a connection.

I can not find installation instructions anywhere.

How do you do it, as in how much is the proper amount of stripping of the insulation is necessary.

Thanks

I am not familiar with that particular brand, but, in general, I find it best to use a 'mini-stripper'. A wire stripper specifically designed for mini coax cable.
Are the ends one piece, or multi-piece?
It usually works better to peel the foil back as well as the shielding.

Hope this helps, good luck.

They are the one piece type. I have a stripper as well, made by Steren.

Shielding and foil were cut back flush with the jacket. white interior jacket was lest at about 3/8" inch. Center wire was anywhere from 3/8" to 5/8" long

You do not cut back the shielding and foil flush with jacket.

Remove about 3/4" of jacket, fold back the shielding and foil, trim 3/8" of the solid core leaving 3/8 of center wire.
