Looking for a reccomendation for a MK vx-7 repair in Seattle. Not sure what is up with the unit, it sounds like the dome is detached. With deep bass it has a rattle, but all the seals seem to be in place. I hope its an easy fix, this sub is really nice; I'd rather not purchase a new one!

TIA

Hello TIA,

After a cursory search I discovered they seem to have gone out of business. However if it is under warranty you still may be able to get a replacement driver. It might not be free because of the situation but still may be obtainable. The other track you could take is find out the parameters of the box and try to locate another suitable driver on these figures.

all the best,
B

Oops, I stated that in a twisted way. Try to find out the drivers parameters and get a close match to those in another driver.

Thanks - Im going to Magnolia hifi (where I bought the sub). Apparently they bought a bunch of parts from MK before they went out of business.

If they don't have it, try Speakerlab (north of the U District).
