My Cerwin Vega Speaker ---Series 3 I think---a large speaker---is making a popping etc. noise very loudly even with the volume turned down on low, Only one speaker is doing this not the other. The Speakers and Technics Amplifier are 8 years old and never a problem before. This started out of nowhere , I had not cleaned or changed any wiring, I hooked up a different speaker to this Technics amp output and no problem. So why is this ----the right speaker doing this ??? The sounds that pop are so loud it will make you jump--but are not continuous--that is sound is normal for 5 to 10 seconds then full volume pop..I rechecked wiring connections to make sur they were tight etc. Help please !!!!

I deduced it is a Bad receiver speaker output-not sure if it can be repaired but speakers work on other outputs -B not A

Use the "B" outputs then. Generally, the A and B outputs come from the same origin anyway, there is merely a switch or relay that selects A or B or sometimes Both.

Seems strange it would be the output connections/switching if other speakers worked OK on the same output as you seemed to indicate in the first post.

Anyway, if "B" output works, just use that...
