Screenshots look amazing. Real or not, still amazing. 4 player coop has to be awesome! Makes me think there is no way the finished game could look that good though. Anyone know when it is coming? My guess would be holiday 08. Even if this is only a timed exclusive it can only be a positive thing for Sony.

The screenshots are reminiscent of Far Cry which is one of my favorite games. The thinking mans game sound interesting. I wonder if part of the strategy really presents itself when in 4 player coop mode. That has a lot of possibilities. We are simply overloaded right now with great future games!

I figured it was multi-platform but I guess since it's made by Free Radical there's a chance it'll hit the PS3 first.

This would be a great addition to the PS3's list of exclusives. There's a nice big article on it in the June PSM and it looks hot. Not just the graphics but the overall design and storyline as well. A warning about PSM though: the seem to have revealed a major plot twist in the article. :mad: I could be wrong though.

This game reminds me of Crysis.

all sites say its coming out on 360 and PC as well. IGN and GS both have dates for the PS3 page, but say "TBA 2007" for the 360 page. so it may be a timed exclusive for the ps3.

There is a big confusion around Haze tonight, since the game seems to now be PS3 exclusive but also no one actually seems to know if it's true or not. I guess we'll know more tomorrow, but in the meantime here is a gameplay video. We know that it looks really really bad (the video, not the game) but imagine that it already looks much better than what we managed to get on tape in the first place. Thankfully we should see the game again tomorrow on normal LCD screens, and you can expect some much (*much*) better looking footage by then.

Update2: Just got a definitive confirmation that Haze is indeed PS3 exclusive for all territories.
i'm guessing it will be a timed exclusive though. i'm guessing they're just delaying it on the 360 because of Halo 3.

the US site says so, but the official UK website only shows a PlayStation logo. also, the trailer recently showed at Ubisoft's recent event (forget what its called) only showed a PS3 logo at the end of it. and again, Playsyde got confirmation that its an "exclusive", but like i said, it will probably just be a timed exclusive.

Wow, looks great! (disclaimer: I'm a 360 guy but have been considering a PS3).

I have to wonder why these guys have yellow helmets. Nothing like painting a big target on your face...unless it's camo for battles taking place in fields of buttercups of course.

I actually found it strange that Ubi would make an announcement like this after all their complaints about the ps3's pricing & difficulty of developing for. This makes a lot of sense though.

i don't know who to believe. other sites have confirmed exclusivity. both the US and UK websites only show PS3 logos too. the US site did show a XBL logo, but the new site does not.

When contacted by GameSpot, Ubisoft reps were somewhat cagey. "Haze is leading on PS3, but no exclusivity for any platform has been officially announced," a spokesperson said. This leaves open the possibility that the game could arrive on the 360 and PC sometime in 2008.



I'm guessing a timed exclusive. They won't release the other versions at the same time as Halo 3. It's strategy, just like how they won't release 2 blockbuster movies in the theaters the same week.

During an exclusive interview Free Radical's Dave Doak told us that while the game is leading on PS3 there are also Xbox 360 and PC versions coming.

And I love the fact its actual gameplay videos.. versus a bunch of other screen capture, screen shot, cut scene BS we are used to seeing. This video really gives you a great idea of how the game will play.

Videos like the one above get much more excited about this game than anything I've seen before from the Killzone or Uncharted camps.

I want HAZE!!! Damn this looks awesome. Will we get a playable demo at E3?
