I've been checking out a iPod 30gb, but came to the realization it's about the same size as most PDAs out there. I have a Dell Axim X30 Pocket PC (312mhz; 32mb) that I'd like to replace. Does a good combo PDA/MP3 player exist so I don't have to lug around so many gadgets?

PDA wants:
-Pocket PC or Palm is fine
-Link to Office without need for 3rd party conduits would be nice
-Mostly for typical PIM uses (e.g. calendar, tasks, contacts)
-Storing drug/medical information (not patient information)
-Viewing/storing some photos
-No real need for texting, internet (e.g. that the Treo might have)

MP3 wants:
-Big enough to hold about 100-200 CDs worth of music
-FM would be a plus
-Don't plan on exercising w/ it, so hard-drive-based one is OK, but if only flash-based ones exist, probably at least 4gb or so.

I use a Treo with a 2 gig card. The phone is hackable to a 4 gig card though. I plug it into my cars stereo, it's all I ever listen to when I drive. Works Great!

Thanks for responses.

ZenVisionM: Hmm, I wasn't aware it had the PDA-like features (e.g. sync w/ Outlook). I need my PDA to run 3rd party apps (e.g. Epocrates - drug information program) and I'm not sure the Zen Vision M will do that. Seems to meet most of my needs though. Good find, and I'll look into it more.

Treo: I'm sure the PDA features are exactly what I want, but are the mp3 features as easy to use as an iPod (mainly song organization, sync to PC)? I don't expect to purchase a huge amount of dowloadable music, but would be nice. Is that avail w/ the Treo? I think 2gb might be good enough for my everyday needs, although would've been nice to store my entire CD collection on it (200+ discs).

Also, the Treo would be nice since I'm due for my "New every 2 years" Verizon phone upgrade ($100 credit towards Treo purchase). As it would also allow me to toss my phone too, will seriously consider it. But, as I don't really need texting/email features, is it overkill then?

I am using a T Mobile Dash with 2GB card and I like it. I have 3 other Windows Mobile devices, but for form factor and ease of use this is the best. The MP3 player is pretty good...

Before I got my zen, I used my Cingular 8125 PDA phone as my music/media player also. If you like the iPod look and you're running windows mobile, check out pPod player software, as it clones the iPod interface on your phone for music playing.
