I evidently messed up and ordered POTC 1/2 back on 2-15 and used the standard delivery instead of the two day free shipping that I usually get with Prime.

They shipped out Monday and I am thinking of just buying them locally after noticing I used standard shipping by mistake.

Anyone know how much hassle it is to return these?

i have done it multiple times and it is easy. they will pay for your shipping by giving you a shipping label and you take it to the post office.
i am a prime member but i do not believe there is a difference in their return policy

I called them earlier about this, I was in the same boat. Just bought them from CC with the 2 gift cards.

They told me to just refuse the package, then it would be sent back and they would email me when a refund was issued.
