So I guess the question to know if potc 1 & 2 are region free was asked and answered before, as in if I order potc in the US (zone A) am I going to be able to play them on my EU player (zone B).

Well now I have another one, I'm one of the impatient EU guy that bought a imported jap PS3, so no problem I can play all zone A disc, but now I ordered the french version of potc and I'm wondering if its going to zone B only.

Anyone checked that.

Oh and btw zonning Bluray was the worst idea ever.

sorry if it was asked or discussed before, search without any luck

up until now all EU Buena Vista and Sony releases have been region free, eventhough some state a specific region only, so probably, yes!

But why not buy the US version, it supposedly has better audio, 24bit instead of 16bit, but correct me if I'm wrong

The whole zoning idea is pretty pointless, since Fox is pretty much the only company applying a specific region

I'd also be interested in hearing whether this is EU compatible. I am going to the US next month and I am trying to decide whether to get a US or UK model. Its a trade off between new blu ray releases or a large, easily available catalogue of ps2 games.

US versions are ABC, EU versions probably also
