Ok my PJs are fine but I have a Sony KP-61XBR200 RPTV that has a convergence issue. I posted this in the RPTV section to no avail. Also I know that allot of CRT gurus hang out in here. Anyway, my Red appears as a bad pincushion and the G & B are fine. When I access the service mode and try to do convergence on the Red gun nothing changes, while I can set G & B as normal. So is my issue in the convergence circuits or might it be on a board that is only specific to the Red gun?

Sounds like the case....specific to the red tube...

I had the same problem a few years ago and remember reading about a $40 part that a lot of people were replacing on the convergence board to fix it.
Maybe try searching " sony convergence " under RPTV section.
(When I have time I will try and find it too.)

Assuming the set uses STK chips on the convergence board, change those.

STK chips are on the semiconductor list in the manual. Where can I buy them? Do you sell them Curt?

I have exactly same issue on my unit sony KP-53xbr300 unit.
The convergence of Red gun is way out in the outer area while around center convergence is still good. Did you find any solution yet? Can you share with me?

By the way, do you have any service manual? if so, where did you get it?
I had luck getting into the service mode, but not enough to change any setting successfully yet.
