If anyone could help me, that would be great. If I have a sony kp-46wt510 rptv. The television set only has a dvi input (no hdmi). The television is hooked up to the ps3 with a dvi cable and a dvi to hdmi converter. With the 1.8 firmware update, will I be able to upscale my standard dvd's to 1080i? I've read that you can only upscale through a hdmi port on the tv, but will it be okay through dvi? Thanks for your help!

as long as your DVI input supports HDCP, you should be fine.
as long as your DVI connection is HDCP compliant, you're fine.

well.. if my ps3 works now, (games, blu-ray at 1080i) .. would that mean it's HDCP compliant?
BTW . Thanks for the help.
Dude just wait a few more hours, and you'll know...just be patient. Its not like your tv is going to blow up if you try upscaling a DVD tomorrow evening...

AWESOME! Update went by quickly. I didn't know what DVD to try, so I put in black hawk down. Maybe my eyes are tricking me, but it does look MUCH better. Guess it does work. Thanks for the help.
