Since I bought my PS3 there have obviously been several new FW updates, many of them bringing new menu options like DVD upscaling etc in this latest one. Is there an updated PS3 instruction manual online someplace that explains all of these new options and what each setting does?

Playstation 3 Online User's Guide. (http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/ps3/current/index.html) It's currently showing the features as of 1.7, but should be updated sometime soon.

It's actually on the Official US Playstation 3 (http://www.us.playstation.com/Support/PS3/Manuals) site, as well. That's where I found it (quite some time ago).
