Can someone shed some light on why I get black bars surrounding my PS2 games that are being upscale via HW 1.80? I know it has to do with the progressive scanning of the games but I can not figure out how to turn it off in games like NHL 07 and GTA??

Play games that are supposed to be 16:9 with the "Full Scree" upscaling option.
Play 4:3 games with "Normal".

The black bars are supposed to be there. PSX and PS2 games had varying resolutions, thus wonky effects happen.
Doesn't bother me at all.
