I just got Pirates of the Caribbean, and when I started to skp through trailers the first thing I noticed is that I couldn't FF with the right click button or pause and play with the enter button. This is my 5th Blu ray movie and this is the first time I actually had to use the FF button or the R2 button. It's not a big deal, but is this kind of common with the selection as a whole?
It's just something I've become accustomed to and would kind of suck if I had to position my thumb at a different position depending on the movie :p

i noticed that too, it's an issue with POTC, prob the BD-J causing this. another issue ppl had with potc is if u press the stop button at any point during the movie, u'd have to play the disc from the very beginning with no resume function.
yep, if u accidently press stop, u'd have to go thru all the trailers and fbi warnings again to get to where u were.
i found this quite inconvenient also, b/c it's very easy to hit the stop button when trying to rewind since it's placed right between the two skip buttons.

Yes, I've noticed that to. When I stopped it to compare 1080i and 720p, I noticed that it wouldn't send me back where I left off. Well I just hope this doesn't become common in upcoming releases, change sucks.

Maybe the disc is authored in advanced mode and that is what's causing the lack of resume?
As for the trailers, they may have prohibited certain functions to keep you from skipping them. Remember how some DVDs do that?
