I got a NAS. Is it possible to share media from it to XBOX 360?

Does your NAD list UPnP as a supported protocol?
If yes, then you can.

So, with the new Spring Update in mind, what type of files can you play?

"Added H.264 video support: Up to 10 Mbps peak, Baseline, Main, and High profiles with 2 channel AAC LC.
Added MPEG-4 Part 2 video support: Up to 5 Mbps peak, Simple Profile with 2 channel AAC LC."

MP3 and WMA, WMA with DRM, MPEG4 and H.264 in MP4 container, stereo only, VC-1, WMV, WMV with DRAM.

Can anyone cite an example of a specific drive that will support upnp?

I second this request. The linked thread above is mostly 2005-2006, with 2 examples of drives from 2007, one of which was referred to as "not so great".

FJ posted the link to that discussion, there are a couple solutions listed in that thread.

I don't think it's redundant to ask about "known compatible with the Xbox360 NAS drives" in the Xbox forum.

Is anybody here successfully streaming from an "out of the box" NAS drive to their 360? If so, what drive are you using?
