I'd really like to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie on Blu-ray. Just thought I'd say that. Got nostalgic all of a sudden. And I also thought this might look good in HD. I haven't seen it since I watched it on VHS which was a a very long time ago.

I would love to have that for the same reasons (nostalgia). It would be great with the 2nd movie also as a double. They won't ever give it a decent treatment though with the master, unless the new turtle film rocks the DVD world.

Not sure about the original, but the new TMNT movie (which I believe Dreamworks owns the distribution rights to?) should look fantastic in HD, since it's CGI.

I thought the new one was a Weinstein movie making it an hd dvd exclusive.

It was co-production of Warner and Weinstein. Warner did U.S. distribution and Weinstein did other countries (for theatrical). I don't know who distributes on home vid, but I'd guess Warner.

Also, there was a thread discussion on the live action series and BR using turtles in a general search.
