The Matrix, like many of my other HD DVD's have very quiet audio where I have to turn the tv all the way up to hear it. I am using the 360..is this the player to blame or the early HD DVD's?

thanks

You need to describe your set-up in detail..what are your audio settings on the x-box, how are you cabled for sound from the add on. Using an AV receiver or straight to the tv speakers?

Do you have the latest firmware for the add-on? MS released an update not too long ago that addressed some audio issues.

I have not heard of any audio problems with the HD-DVD's themselves. In fact most sound spectacular on my system - no complaints.

i am using the basic add on set-up. component direct to my tv, Yes I did the update last week as well. Some HD DVDs are very quiet and I have to turn them up but The Good Shepard was fine

poor audio lol when your using your tv speakers lol

i notice the same thing when using my tv speakers if im watching an hd-dvd or a blu ray movie or a dolby digital hd broadcast.

dunno if your ever planning on getting an hdmi receiver and some decent speakers. but i highly recommend it.

nothing like feeling the explosions actually rattle the ish out of your house :) and hearring subtle sounds like on ant bully like on the intro where you can hear their feet (ants) when their going up the hill. with my setup but i never heard those sounds with my tv speakers.

pretty much if you dont plan on getting anything then all i can reccomend is you keep turning it till you can hear it and turn down the bass ( i know my tv when their talking its not loud but an explosion gets way to loud so i turned the bass down)
