Do you know if this movie on HD is having any problems playing? I recently bought this for my HD-XA1 and it keeps giving me an error code. I haven't updated my Firmware since I bought the DVD player in 2006. Could that be the problem or is this a problem with the movie itself and I should just buy a new copy?

Never had an error with my XA1. I did have some skipping the second time I watched it (disc never left the player). I took it out, blew on it, and it worked fine.

YOu need to update the firmware to the latest firmware before we can make any judgements on your problems. There HAVE been issues with this disc, but many of the latest firmarw updates have fixed the issues, so 1st things 1st update your firmware.....

Use the search engine. Many of us have had problems with UNIVERSAL titles. COMBOs suck! I could not get this title to work with my XA2 or my XA1...

Does it load with v1.6? I'm thinking of getting it again.

Children of Men may not properly work on your HD DVD player unless you update to version 2.2 firmware (HD-A1/XA1) or version 1.6 firmware (HD-A2/A20/XA2). This is due to a slight difference in the thickness of some newer HD DVD movies compared to older ones.
