I am a newbie. I am finishing my basement and want to convert a room to be a movie viewing area.
I want to get a projector in the room which is 12 X 12. However, there is a 16 inch drop in the ceiling that extends about 80inches (for HVAC vent) in one end. So the ceiling clearance is 80inches. I thought I would sit at that end and project to the other wall.

Can I mount the projector all the way back? Would the drop in the ceiling matter? Or do I mount at the end of the ceiling drop? I am wondering if the ceiling drop will interfere with the picture.

Easiest way is if you have the proj already just pop it up and take a look see. If you look at my thread I had to side bulkheads to deal with and it worked at the back of the room.
