I'm at the part where you need to get the spotlight atop one of the buildings. Dom is supposed to wait for you while you do so. I try to tell him to stay by pressing LB and B (which I think are the correct buttons) but he still follows me every time and dies. If I don't issue any commands at all he still follows and dies. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

You have to keep the spotlight on Dom and walk him accross the map so he can turn the lights on.

Hmm. Right after you are told to press Y to see the spotlight, I walk up to the concrete block (near a lamp post) in the middle of the street to make a right turn and that's when he follows me and gets killed. Is there an entrance to the building prior to the street (i.e. in the alley or street I'm currently in)? I didn't notice one but I'll check again tonight.

Yup. You roll up and look at the spot light. Then Fenix starts talking, and DOM stay's put (Amazing... he never does any other freaking time!!!!)
