Hi guys. I am having a problem with the 1080P option on my 360 menu. I have done all of the downloads prompted by MS, but when I go to change from 1080i to 1080P, the 1080P icon is shadowed (for lack of a better term) and I cannot select it as an option. I have a Mitsubishi 1080P DLP and an Elite 360 that I'm running the HDMI on. Any ideas? I'd like to get that changed as quick as possible so I can move on to my other tweaky problem areas in my theater:) Thanks everyone!

What model is it? And does it state it can recieve 1080P not just display 1080P?

All 1080-native displays do *NOT* necessarily accept 1080p signals.
Pre-07, it was the norm, rather than the exception.
Unless your display is very new, it likely can't accept 1080p signals.
Not that it makes that much of a difference; instead of worrying about the difference between 1080i and 1080p, you should be worrying more about whether or not you can disable overscanning and whether or not the set properly de-interlaces 1080i content, both of which make a *BIG* difference in image quality..
Thanks guys. I've done as much thus far (fjtorres), and I'm pretty sure it can accept 1080P via HDMI. I believe it's the 62628 (something close to that), but the actual number is eluding me right now. I was also 99% certain I could adjust it before on the "old", non-Elite 360, to output 1080P. Making me wonder what is so goofy now...thanks guys.

CNET says it can't accept 1080p via HDMI. Not too kind on their de-interlacing either. Sorry.
