Hey everyone,
Was curious if anyone has build a homebuilt craps table for their gaming room...??? I found a couple of cool websites that had some nice examples of some garage projects and it looks like a place that used to offer the plans is now out of business...name of the website was RecRoomPlans. I guess they used to be on Ebay as well but have not found any plans lately on ebay...
So know I am hitting up AVS Forums in hope that someone may have done a project like this or know where I can find some plans out there...
Always appreciated,
Ryan

it doesn't seem like it would take a lot to make a craps table. you can find the felts pre-layed out on the internet for around $100-150 dollars. That was from a quick search in google, i'm sure they could be found even cheaper.
i would pick out the felt that suits your needs and use the dimensions off that to build your table. depending on how fancy you want the moulding and the rails I can imagine one being built for around $300 (or less if you were salvaging materials).

I used to have one that we bought for around $400. Had some great games back in the day. It was full size but could be quickly broken down and stored.
Knowing how it was assembled, I think it would be easy to make your own plans. However I've never seen plans you can purchase.
I thought about building one before. This place in Vegas has good stuff, like rubber for the rail, but it is expensive. If you ever go to Vegas, I recommend going to their store - very cool place to look around:

I have built one about three years ago. It was really easy and turns out looking pretty good. I think I still have the plans and instructions laying around the house. I'll look for them tonight. A picture of the table can be seen on the second page of "my gallery".

I just got done building mine you can look at it here:
myweb.cableone.net/abqjduke/
I am going through my ISP so it is sorta slow once you are in the Photo Gallery if you click on a picture give it a second to load even though it says its done.
I didn't do any plans but what i thought of in my head and it was actually easier then i thought except for the curved chip rails.
I did make wood templates for most of the table so i could build more.
And sorry to say it but if you wan't a semi desent table your not going to build it for $300.00 or $400.00 the felt alone is $200 plus then the diamond back rubber is another $200 you havent even bought any wood.
for those people that want more information my contact information is on my web page.

I think egg crate spray painted black would work ok as a cheap substitute for the diamond back rubber
