I went through 2 ax100's for color uniformity issues and a big blue splotch showing up on my screen. I am done with ax100 now.

In reading online for a replacement, I've seen quite a bit of good press for the Mitsubishi 1000U, almost opposite of the negativity that surrounds the AX100.

My question is, would I be happy going from the AX100 on a doable screen to the Mitsubishi 1000U?

There were things about the ax that I loved, the brightness, the HD performance, however....it was not a good performer on standard def content. Granted at 106 inches, it did stretch it out quite a bit!

Yes I know about the price. How about customer service from Mits?

Any ideas would be appreciated!

You may have already considered this, but you didn't mention the flexibility of placement you get with the ax100 that you don't have with the Mits - it was a showstopper for me, and why I went with the Z5, which, BTW, I am very, very happy with.
