has any one replaced their hd70 lamp yet????-- how many hours

If you are thinking of getting one and are concerned, visual apex is giving a 2 year bulb warranty with the HD70

I know I'm a total noob here but didn't the HD70 just come out about 7-8 months ago? The bulbs should last a couple years if not defective.

Maybe they use the projector for 14 hour stretches every single day. ;)

I think the OP is trying to ask if a significant number of bulbs are failing before their rated time.

I've got over 500 hours on mine so far (since February '07)

I installed my HD70 a week before Thanksgiving '06, and I got the warning a few weeks ago. I have about 2600 hours on my bulb.

I am going to buy a new bulb, and then get Circuit City to fulfil their 2 year warranty. I have my doubts about how quick Circuit City can get me a new bulb.

This is my primary TV and I use it about 12 - 14 hours per day.
